Runescape combat beta good or bad?

The new runescape combat beta update, or combat evolution has been a huge topic in runescape for the past couple of months. The update will drastically change runescape combat and other features of the game. For example armor now gives you extra life points, and your combat level is your highest combat skill and your defense plus 2. This means that your new max combat level will be 200. (full details on whats changing in the update can be found at http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Evolution_of_Combat) There are many people who think this update is a vary bad idea and will make runescape a horrible game. On the other hand there are also people who think this new update will be runescape’s best update ever. I am going to talk about the good and bad things about this update and share different peoples opinions on it.

I believe that people just don’t want the old runescape to change, because the update is so big it fells like runescape is changing into a completely different game. The thing that people fail to realize is runescape is constantly changing, if you played classic runescape then modern runescape they would be vary different games. Slivie on the runescape forum said My first impressions of it are neutral. I love and hate it. I love how shields are finally more useful, and defense has been boosted to the point where it actually means something.
I do hate how some abilities don’t seem to work properly, and how everyone is running in Torva and stuff, but other than that I’m okay. I also hate how useless auto attacks are. They barely do a scratch!
I do agree with most of this accept for when he said “auto attacks barely do a scratch”. The reason some people think this is because now you hit so high with you abilities it seams like your auto attacks are not good when they still are. Crusader from the runescape forum says Best update ever made :) for anyone who hates it, actually play it first! Every hate thread i see on it are form people who haven’t actually spent the time to figure out how to use the update. For example i see people saying things like “now you have to duel wield to have any abilities” without taking the time to look at the strength tab. or “shields are pointless i can’t wear my divine” without looking at the amazing defensive abilities. To anyone who hates this update, read all the news articles and actually try it first. To jagex, i love you:)  This is 100% my favorite comment i’v read about the update, this is because it is so true. For example yesterday there was a person in my clan who quit runescape just because the new combat update, and this person had never even played the beta version. So take the time to actually read about and play the combat beta before you go and assume it’s such a bad update. I agree with Crusader, I think this is the best update ever and it’s almost nothing wrong with it. The only thing that I slightly dislike about the update is the complexity of it, but this was only when I first played the beta. Within the first 20 minuets of so I fully understood how everything worked. My conclusion is that I 100% love this the combat evolution/update and to anyone that dose not, you should go play ballscape (http://ballscape.org/play.php) because that’s the classic runescape that your looking for.

New Minecraft 1.3 update?

I’v been hearing about this new minecraft 1.2.6 update for a couple of months now, and I have been so excited for it but nothing has happened yet. I’v been hearing that the reason for this is that there has been so many bugs minecraft can not release it yet. Luckily you can download the pr-release version, but there are allot of glitches in it.

Some of the features in the new update that I am most looking forward to are the obsidian chests. The way these chests work is if you have 2 different obsidian chests you can access items from the chest at ether chest even if they are really far apart or in the nether or end. Also in the new update you will be able to use commands in single player such as, /give me 64 46 (TNT) or /gamemode 1, witch changes your game mode from survival to creative. Some other features include demo mode for non members, witch gives you a 5 day free trial of full minecraft, writing in books, and new ores. A full list of the updates can be seen at: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Upcoming_features I have also been wondering about, if the adding of new ores in the update will that affect the existing ones? Will it make other ores less common to make room for the new ones, or will there just be more ores in the game when you are mining?
