Where is clay found in minecraft?

I can't seem to find any clay in minecraft so can someone tell me where to look.

In minecraft clay is found in almost any body of water, just go in water and look down and chances are there will be some. This is a somewhat new update because before clay used to be vary rare. You cloud only find clay next to water in a desert or next to sand in the old updates.
